USB Redirector

Let's suppose you have a USB printer connected to your computer and a network computer user wants to print something. You can use the printer sharing feature in Windows for this. Unfortunately, this process is difficult and takes a lot of time to complete. In the end, that user may not be able to use the printer due to a configuration problem. A much better solution is installing a software that allows sharing any USB device to any network computer, as if that device was connected to it. The software's name is USB Redirector. The program allows sharing any USB device, like printers, memory sticks, web cameras and so on, to any user connected to the local network and even to Internet users.

The program is not difficult to install and can run in most versions of the Windows operating system.

When run, the interface of the program automatically searches for all connected USB devices and allows sharing them all or only some. The software includes both the server and the client so it should be installed on all the network computers that require access to the shared USB devices.

The user can set some restrictions and can limit some computers from accessing USB resources by simply entering their IP address in a blacklist. For connecting to the shared USB devices, client computers should enter the server IP address and port number. Unfortunately, USB Redirector doesn't allow setting a password for protecting shared USB devices from being accessed by some users.
